From time to time I get asked why I'm doing these "one man band" cover-song videos. There are a couple of reasons. First, I like the song(s). Second, I enjoy the challenge, both as a musician and a producer. Third, collaborations are complicated. There's no money in this, so I'm not going to pay session musicians to play Survivor's Eye Of The Tiger (or whatever) for me. It's mainly been a hobby by which I can improve my recording and production skills, and learn new stuff in the process.

I also write my own original songs. Not many people are looking to hear original songs from an old white dad, but I put it out for posterity. You never know when some home recording becomes the next theme song for a 10-season TV show. Fingers crossed! Not really.
